How to pair an Xbox or PS5 controller
1. Put the controller in pairing mode
Xbox: Press the Xbox button to turn it on. Hold the small Pair button on top, near the USB port, until the Xbox button flashes rapidly.
PS5 DualSense: Turn it off and unplug its USB cable. Hold the Create button, left of the touchpad, and the PS button together until the light bar flashes.
2. Connect it in your device's Bluetooth settings
- iPhone or iPad: Settings → Bluetooth → select the controller.
- Android phone or tablet: Settings → Bluetooth or Connected devices → Pair new device → select the controller.
- Windows laptop: Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Add device → Bluetooth → select the controller.
- Mac laptop: System Settings → Bluetooth → select Connect beside the controller.
3. Return to SkyLink
Select Bind controller PTT button, then press the controller button you want to hold while speaking.
Use a Bluetooth-capable Xbox controller. Older original Xbox One controllers may not support Bluetooth. A second controller is recommended because pairing can disconnect it from its console.
Once paired to this device, select Bind and press the controller button you want to hold for PTT.

ATC Experience
Pro Mode keeps the full real-world radio workload. Rookie Mode still gives you authentic ATC responses, but lets you ask in simpler plain language when you are still learning phraseology.
Pro Mode is best if you want to handle every transmission yourself using standard ATC phraseology.
